We made a big mistake last year, and bought a Bestway sand filter pump. It broke down on us short before it had one year. Bestway deals with warranty in the worst possible way. The only way to get support, is fill in a paper form, scan in and send it by mail. No telephone support (without this paper work).
Once they have this info, they ask you to send the pump in for repair. At your own cost. This is done with a standard, short mail. Every question/remark you have is answered with a one-liner email and no cooperation whatsoever is possible.

In short: stay away from Bestway.
